Christmas and New Year
I know this is a delayed post but our computer was broken and just got fixed by an angel (James you rock).
For the Holidays Deb and Ger were here and it was an incredible time. We spent 3.5 days in London and then came back up to Ely to our house. In London we saw a lot of great things and enjoyed all being together again. We went on the Big Bus Tour and rode the London Eye. We went to as many pubs as we could find time for. I know Dad not nearly enough. We also saw Wicked which was a great show. We walked around downtown and tried to shop but because it was the weekend before Christmas it was unbearably crowded, yes even for the ladies!
We then came back to Ely and had a wonderful Christmas.
We went to the Ely cathedral, went to the ocean and most importantly to Beers of Europe (Only people who come to visit get to know what that is).
For New Years we took a bus to London and saw the fireworks with everyone else in England. It was very crowded but a lot of fun and a great experience. The fireworks were phenomenal!
It was very sad to say goodbye but cannot wait for more people to come and visit so we can share this great opportunity with them! We love living here and the opportunities it has given us to travel and make more great friends!
Maloaee
Malaoee has grown up a lot in the last couple of months. She loves it here in England because they are so dog friendly. She gets to be off her leash a lot. We take her to the market on the weekends and everyone wants to pet her. There are lots of fields that she gets to go run and play in with other dogs. It snowed a lot (for England) on February 13th and she loved it, as did we. She misses all of her friends a lot. She says hi to Magnum, Bart, Sadie, Vinny, Phoebe, Isabel(I think she misses the hissing) and Tyson. She has also made new friends, Poppy (Ron and Julie's adorable kitten)who is still very unsure of such a large creature, and Rosie (a dog we saw at the park that she played in the snow with for about 1 hour). Big licks for everyone!!
Ireland
We went to Ireland for Presidents' day weekend with our friends Ron and Julie. We got some great green gifts, visited the Guiness factory (yes it is better there), rented a car to explore the Irish countryside and hills (not the burned one), and drank A LOT of Guiness and Irish car bombs (a shot of Irish Wiskey in a glass of Guiness). The Irish are extrememly friendly and we cannot wait to go back. Anyone want to come?
